New Paper Pieces

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but all of the newer pieces that are a glued piece of paper over wood have not come out well at all. They end up with a dark residue above the letters that will not come off when cleaning. If cleaning is attempted, the paper starts to pull up and then there is an inconsistent white around the letters. I have been using the recommended settings and cleaning as instructed. Has anyone else found a solution or been having the same problems?

Just a suggestion: We haven't had that problem, so I can't speak to solutions after the fact, but what is your fan setting on the filter. If it is pulling really hard is it possible that the soot marking is aggravated? Not sure that really makes sense, but if the smoke is pulling hard over the piece I think it might soil the paper more. Another thing we've found is that on some items, simply using white pencil eraser seems to do a good job of clean-up.
