    curving text

How do I give text a curve? I would like to put a small bend in a text box (similar to what is on the lazy susan in the scan book (ZLZY0023). BUT, no matter what I do, I can't get it to be the right bend or size.
Can you point me in the right direction?

    thanks,
    Kurt

PS I want a gentle bend to the phrase, not making it into a circle

The text on a arc tool lets you define arc-text one of two ways. For a gentle bend, you'll use the top two boxes in the arc text tool dialog. The dialog shows the first value corresponding to a blue line, the second value to the black line. Put in a reasonable figure for the first value based on the size of the item. This is the width, so if the item is 6 inches wide, you might set this to "5.000 in" to take up most of the space. For the second value, put in something around maybe 10%-20% of the first value. So for this example you could start at "0.500 in" for a very gentle bend.
